In response to complaints to our service regarding the quality of water supply and in order to avoid creating false impressions, DEYA THERMAIKOU clarifies the following:

In the context of protecting public health, monitoring the quality of water for human consumption is of vital importance and a priority for the DEYA THERMAIKOU

The process includes the systematic collection and analysis of water samples from various points of the water supply network to ensure that it meets the required safety and hygiene standards.

In recent times, because it was observed in an area of Perea that is supplied by the Gipedou reservoir and includes the square from Romanou to Ethnarchou Makariou and Ano Perea, increased arsenic concentrations were observed in relation to measurements in previous years, but always WITHIN the strict limits set by legislation, K.Y. In case the limits are exceeded, it will immediately inform consumers.

The analyses of samples from all areas of the Municipality to date show that the water is suitable for drinking and cooking in accordance with the applicable legislation.
