DEYA Thermaikou, realizing the intense inconvenience caused to consumers due to the prolonged water supply interruption in the Peraia area on March 11 and 12, informs residents of the following:

1. The water supply interruption is due to the need to evacuate the area’s sewage network.

2. The evacuation of the sewage network was carried out in order for EYATH S.A. to carry out necessary work at the sewage pumping station located on the Peraia beach in order to avoid a possible sewage leak in the square area and to solve the problem of unpleasant odors that were emitted into the surrounding area.

3. The duration of the works was extended, as it was found that none of the system valves were functional, given that no maintenance or replacement had been carried out since the construction of the pumping station to date (approximately 25 years).

DEYA Thermaikou points out that its main priority is the uninterrupted water supply of citizens and the continuous improvement of the infrastructure, to the best of its ability.
