Welcome to DEYA Thermaikou
Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Thermaikos Municipality

Collective, joint action to save water!
We call all our citizens to a collective, joint action to save our precious natural resource, water, this summer, given that its adequacy is to a certain extent… in our hands!
The climate crisis with high temperatures and water scarcity phenomena do not let us rest, but on the contrary lead us to remember all these simple everyday tips for saving our water.
Keep in mind that especially indoors, in homes and offices:
- We turn off the taps: we do not let the water run unnecessarily when we brush our teeth, shave or wash our hands
- We immediately repair all leaks: running cisterns, dripping taps consume much more water than we think.
- We take short showers: we don’t fill the bathtub, we take quick showers with moderate pressure – 1/5 of the water we use in our homes is consumed in the bathroom!
- Being economical with dishes/clothes: we only put the dishwasher in when it’s full and we prefer to wash dishes in a basin, instead of leaving the tap running. Similarly, we make sure that the washing machine is full.
- We choose “smart” appliances: we invest in low-water and energy-consuming appliances and choose water-saving programs in our daily lives.
- We systematically monitor our consumption: DEYATH bills allow us to monitor our consumption history. We make our comparisons and show self-restraint when we see large deviations.
- You are reminded that tap water is intended exclusively for domestic use.
- Therefore, its use for washing cars, watering gardens, washing roads and sidewalks, as well as for irrigation purposes of private vegetable gardens, is prohibited.
Follow the water saving guidelines to limit consumption.
Announcement
Unfortunately, only 500 consumers have registered so far, out of about 30,000.
DEYATH once again invites consumers to register, in the application, to receive their bill directly in their email, to declare the reading of their Water Meters and to monitor its consumption.
This will facilitate the work of DEYATH and informing consumers.
